At Knit Together we understand the joys of knitting for others, so the projects we create are used to bring joy to our community. During the colder months we knit scarves to place around Bronson Park in Downtown Kalamazoo for anyone finding themselves cold and in need of a scarf. We have also participated in a project called Knitted Knockers, that provides a handmade knit breast prosthesis to women who have had mastectomies due to breast cancer or other illnesses. Knit together is always looking for knitting opportunities in our neighborhood, so come ready to explore different ways that we can serve through knitting! There is also freedom to create your own project for yourself or a friend. The knitting possibilities are endless!
